Returns

Due to health and hygiene reasons, and overseas manufacturers who do not accept returns, we have a strict NO RETURNS policy. This includes a change of mind due to choice of style or colour. Please ensure the correct colour and style are chosen before purchasing.

However, if you are not completely satisfied with our products due to a manufacturing or quality defect, we will replace the product with the exact same, style and colour chosen. The return of any Hair Genie product will not be accepted should the item show any evidence of being altered or used. You must notify Hair Genie prior to sending a return and then return the item within 7 days of receipt of the order. All returns MUST comply with these guidelines and will undergo a full quality inspection upon their return. Refunds will not be given for change of mind.

3. Package the product properly for shipping including a note stating the reason for your return.

4. Any shipping and handling charges are non-refundable.

5. All returns must be sent to us via tracked Courier. Hair Genie will not be responsible for lost or misdirected returns.

6. After we receive your return, allow up to 7 days for your matter to be processed.

Exchanges

Any exchange will have an additional delivery fee to be paid. There may be other charges which will be at our discretion and depend on the exchanged item.

Shipping

We offer Free Shipping on all orders over $150 and a Flat Rate Shipping cost of $9.95 on all other orders.

Once payment is received, or your claim through the Ministry of Health is approved, we aim to despatch your order within 7-10 business days for delivery to metropolitan areas, however outer regions may incur a longer delivery timeframe.

International shipping is to Australia ONLY and we offer a Flat Rate Shipping cost of $39.95 on all orders with a delivery timeframe of 10-14 business days. Free Shipping is NOT available on international orders.

Out-of-Stock Items & Backorders

Please note we try our best to keep our stock register up-to-date, however, we aim to notify you within 48 hours if an item is on backorder. There are currently some delays on certain colours and styles, if this affects your order we will be in touch straight away, otherwise please feel free to contact us to check before your order is placed.

Payments

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Internet Banking as payment types. Your transaction will be billed in New Zealand dollars. All prices are inclusive of GST. The name that will appear on your statement will be THE HAIR GENIE LTD.

Credit Card Payments

If you are paying by credit card, you will be asked to submit your credit card details during step 3 of our secure checkout process, you will receive an email from us to confirm your order. A record of your order can also be viewed via your account profile on https://thehairgenie.co.nz.

Your credit card is processed for payment once your order has been submitted.

In the event your nominated credit card is declined by your financial institution, we will not be able to guarantee the delivery of your order, and may contact you to make alternative payment and arrangements.

Website & Credit Card Security

We take website and credit card security extremely seriously, and always endeavour to provide a secure safe platform on which to conduct online transactions. www.chocolatetraders.co.nz uses the industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol, which encrypts your information as it is transmitted over the internet. This encryption scrambles details such as credit card number, billing details and delivery address so that generally, other computers are unable to decipher the information, ensuring privacy and security.

We do not store your credit card details, all payments are handled through Windcave, a secure PCI compliant, third party.

To ensure you are accessing a secure server, check for the unbroken key or closed lock symbol located generally either at the bottom left or top right of your browser window. If it appears, then SSL is active. You can double-check this by looking at the URL as well. If SSL is active, then the first characters of that line will read ‘https’ rather than just ‘http’. It is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your password and to your computer.
